Featured Technology: CUVIER DEEP Autonomous Underwater System

Our LiDAR Technologies


Subsea LiDAR: SL4

With 6x the scanning speed of our SL3 model, SL4 can significantly reduce the time it takes to complete standard tasks, such as spool piece metrology, subsea construction surveys, inspections and engineering measurements, while dramatically improving data quality.

The SL4 is a clear choice for remote operations, thanks to its faster collection times and greater remote diagnostic capabilities. The steerable, long-range beam places photons where you need them and the result is precise, accurate, millimetric 3D point clouds with reflectivity. Reflectivity and longer-range measurement repeatability are essential for more precise 3D modeling, analysis and visualization.

    • Each SL system can be easily integrated and deployed on a wide range of systems including tripods, ROVs, AUVs, surface vessels and diver systems.

Subsea LiDAR: SL3

One tool, multiple applications, one cohesive data format. Our SL3 laser system is powered by proprietary point cloud processing software with in-house patented technology and customized optical design.

Each SL laser pulses at 40,000 times a second and can receive over 10 multi returns per pulse which are filtered through software. The result is precise, accurate, millimetric 3D point clouds with reflectivity – essential for more precise 3D modeling, analysis and visualization.

Dynamic LiDAR moving platform

This solution couples subsea LiDAR with inertial navigation system (INS) data collection technology to provide a mobile mapping solution. It’s particularly useful in highly congested areas and sensitive, archeological and historical sites, which can be mapped with less risk to the protected area.

The dynamic moving platform harnesses the unique features of the LiDAR beam to provide a variety of scan patterns and allow for longer-range, repeatable measurements with normal standoff distances of 15m or more.
